We are heartbroken by the tragic incident involving children and staff from Minehead Middle School.
As an organisation rooted in the communities of Somerset, many of our team live locally and know people directly affected. We are offering staff immediate support, including access to counselling, and we are standing by to help the community in any way we can.
We’ve increased capacity on our enquiry line and are ready to deploy staff from other parts of Somerset to support local people. Whether that’s simply listening, helping to make connections to other support, or offering more practical assistance in the days ahead; we will be there.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the children and families affected, with the school community, and with the emergency services who responded with such care and professionalism.
We will continue to do everything we can to support the people of Minehead and Exmoor at this very difficult time.
